Browsing the directory
Corner of X does not deploy advertising pixels, behavioral analytics, social tracking scripts or tracking redirects. Searching and filtering directory listings happens in your browser, without building a profile of your interests.
Following a business's website or X link takes you directly to that destination. External websites are operated under their own privacy practices.
Theme preferences
The light/dark switch stores a single appearance preference in your browser. Light is the default. This preference is not sent to an advertising service.
Accounts and security
Account sign-in uses secure authentication sessions. Necessary operational records protect accounts, prevent abuse, support access control and preserve the integrity of important decisions. These records are used for security and accountability, not behavioral advertising.
Email delivery
Account and service messages use a transactional email delivery provider. Open tracking and click tracking are disabled for Corner of X email. Necessary delivery information is processed for reliable message transmission, never for marketing audiences.
Linked X profiles
Public X links identify where businesses can be reached. Future member identity confirmation will use a voluntary, manual proof-of-control process. We do not collect X passwords or request access to post on behalf of members.
Giveaways
The giveaway feature is planned, not active. It is designed to destroy entrant data when the giveaway ends and prize fulfillment is complete. It will not retain entrant lists for marketing, share entrant data with unrelated businesses, or create cross-giveaway profiles.
